Midland Painted Turtle

We took a late afternoon stroll at Whitesburg Park.  Mr Mole counted 11 turtles on logs at one end of the big pond in the woods. One by one they all dove into the water as they heard the camera shutter click, except for these two, engrossed in an intense dialogue. Over half the pond was still frozen, despite 70 degree weather today.   We were surprised to see many downed trees and a huge amount of new erosion along the river.  I caught a blurry blip of  bluebird.
