A Sign of Spring

I love daffodils, such a cheery sign of Spring. Spotted these and had to take a photo of them. Mine aren't ready to bloom yet but hopefully will in the next few days.
We had an appointment on Vancouver Island today and decided to take a risk and visit my cousins BeachesDoogie and Impy. They felt okay about having us come over. It was great to have time with family! It's been so long, and it felt safe because the four of us have been super careful about wearing masks and social distancing. It wasn't a long visit, and it was hard not to hug them, but just seeing them felt so good. Doogie treated us to homemade banana bread (delicious!), and gave us some homemade gnocchi to bring home. That's on the menu for tomorrow night!
It's the first time in months that we've interacted socially with anyone. Hopefully we'll be able to spend more time with them in a couple of months once we've had the vaccine. We heard good news tonight that the dates for getting the vaccine for each age group might be moved up and we might be vaccinated sooner than expected. Sure hope so!
