Eyemouth

The Borders Potato Day is turning into one of my annual highlights. Well over 100 varieties, so it's easy to go overboard.

So today I bought 8 types 2 First Early (Orla, International Kidney), 2 Second Earlies (Anya and Edzell Blue) and 3 main crop (Setanta, Pink Fir Apple, Purple majesty). Particularly excited by the purple majesty, which I'm told stay purple when cooked, which is new. Add shallots and onions and you have a successful trip.

Here's a seal at Eyemouth showing off by blowing bubbles. Like a sitting duck, really. Very pleasant walk up to Coldingham and back.
