Quiet

Back to the audiologist this morning, as B had an appointment. He’s had high tec aids for a while and they needed a software update. We took my little car and I drove, so it was my turn to sit in the car whilst he had his appointment. 

After that we drove into town and parked at the Brayford. The weather had been dry and sunny until we got out of the car park, when it poured with rain. A quick march to the bank to pay in a cheque that we have had for a couple of months, but didn’t have a paying in slip which would have allowed me to deposit it at the post office in the village. The sender of the cheque is getting twitched as she doesn’t want her end of year accounts messed up!!! 

A quick trip round M&S food department to buy some bits that took our fancy. By this time the weather was beautiful again, although still very windy. It was lunchtime and the high street was very quiet. I’m looking forward to having a coffee in the foreseeable future!!!! 

The last time I was in town was on the 14th December for a hair appointment and I didn’t manage to walk down the high street as I was collected by R and transported home.

It seems strange driving, buying petrol for the first time in more than 12months and just walking along the street when the shops are closed and there are so few people about.
