May's Shop

Delivered a new stock of cards to Highgate Farm Shop, Heptonstall.  It's known throughout the civilised world as May's Shop (Aladdin's Cave).  May is now 81 and still works in her shop (with a couple of assistants) 14 hours a day, 364 days of the year.  Each day she delivers newspapers to the surrounding farms and hamlets in all weathers in her four-wheel drive.
She sells everything from fine wines and real ale to fuse wire and vacuum cleaner belts.  The received wisdom is “If May doesn’t have it, you don’t need it!”.
I enjoy having a chat with her - she's always so cheery.  She showed me this drawing of her house and shop - I love the chimneys.
