Denzell House lych gate
It's at the entrance to a garden rather than a churchyard, so I know it's not a lych gate in the strictest sense of the term. However, that's how the locals refer to it, presumably 'cos it looks like one. Denzell House is a huge pile built for Robert Scott, one of Manchester's "Cottentots", in the 1870s. It's now owned by Trafford Council, who use it for offices - I can think of worse places to work! I've added a shot of the house from November 2020 as an extra, together with another photo of the lych gate from the other side of the entrance.
