A Year On...
...since Covid19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. How the time has flown when you'd think it would have dragged.
I remember being so stressed out and anxious when we went into the first lockdown. Lovely Blippers gave me so much support and advice at that time. I practiced Yoga Nidra each night. The doctor increased the antidepressants I was on. I took Kalms one-a-night to help me sleep.
We've come a long way way since then and have followed the rules and restrictions to a T. We're still here, still healthy and have our first vaccinations under our belts - well in our arms!
It is nearly 18 months since we saw Sam (Frank's son) and Siobhan and our two Irish grandchildren - Isla and Arón. It is 9 months since we saw Sabrina, John, Amelia and Lucy and Marc (my son) and Anna, Poppy, Arlo and their Dad Peter.
Each night when we get into bed we ask each other, 'What are you doing tomorrow?' :-D))
'Bit o' this, bit o' that', is our usual reply.
So today I have done a bit o' reading, a bit o' uking, a bit o' knitting, a bit o' Blip browsing, a bit o' cleaning and a bit o' snoozing!
(Not a lot of any of them though!)
I also ventured outside in my funny sandal before the rain started and filled up the bird feeders and took the secateurs to snip of dead stalks all over the garden and pruned the rambling rose which was too young to ramble last year.
Here's hoping for this year. It was good to be outside in the fresh air.
We've had every kind of weather thrown at us today but I have been mostly by the fire keeping cosy.
Frank had made lunch and tea before 10 am! Courgette and carrot soup for lunch and a yummy vegan curry for tea.
I'm a lucky girl!
Time for knitting and a bit of telly.
Thanks for comments, stars and hearts you lovely lot!
