Act of kindness / Akt der Freundlichkeit

I was touched to see this outside my local bakery today.

Some kind soul had taken the time to handwrite a series of hopeful and self-affirming messages in bright colors, and gone to the effort of taping it to a lamppost in the central marketplace. They had got very soggy in the rain, but it didn’t seem to matter.
