Some time ago we signed up for a speculative air-sourced heat-pump installation, with the equipment provided for free, requiring only a year's monitoring after installation. The eventual installation was eventually scheduled when permitted for today, so we were out of the house at an alternate site where there were no other people except us but also almost no internet, especially when we had simultaneous meetings. Fortunately the recently-changed phone contract provided much better bandwidth as long as I left the phone near the window. It's nice to get a slightly different set of places available to wander at at lunchtime, even with the impending dread of having to face a long wiping/airing/cleaning session once we got home and another early-start furniture-hoicking house-readying day tomorrow.
