How do you test a deaf and mute child... with a deaf and mute mother.

Mostly on paper
It’s a weird experience as part of my routine is the chat. Chatting into thin air with no response whilst aware that your patient are mum and frantically conversing with sign language ... it felt like a strange vacuum with me wittering into the abyss. I did a lot of thumbs ups.
However, thank god for the Retinoscope so no subjective response required but tea and conversation required for me afterwards.
