Alice’s tree
This is for my mother in law, Alice. She lived with us for 35 years, until 2 years ago when we were unable to look after her adequately due to her dementia, and we moved her into a care home. She sadly died last August, aged 97, and although her death was not directly due to Covid we saw how our sudden absence from her life due to lockdown hastened her deterioration. It was, and still is a tough time.
Alice was a violinist, embroiderer, avid reader, and amazing mother in law (and mother, grandmother, great grandmother). We’ve planted this rowan alongside a track we often walk and cycle along. It’ll bring a smile each time we pass by. Thanks to a good friend for allowing us to do this.
