Nice date :))

I woke up to a busy day - Church service on YouTube followed by AWANA Fun Day on Zoom. Then to meet with friends for coffee before having dinner with my chiropractor who left Dubai in 2010, but returned last year.

Suddenly the afternoon arrangement was off, then after a while, it was back on again. The rest of the day went to plan. The Fun Day on Zoom wasn't as daunting as we imagined. I'm beginning to suspect this age range really might be beyond the limit of my patience! I had feedback of frowning too much during AWANA!

We met with friends David and Pushpa at Sol Sky Bar. It was their first time. We got there at 4:45 on what is the hottest day of the year so far. Fortunately, there was also a breeze so we stuck at our usual spot that gives the view you see in my blip. We all agreed Dubai Creek is the best part of Dubai!

We stayed longer than anticipated as we should have had time to call in at home before our dinner meet up, but as it happens, slow service to get our drinks meant we were gulping them down and racing to get back to the car to drive over to the other side to meet up with Dr Travis.


It was great to see him after eleven years. He looks just the same, and we very kindly said we did as well! We chatted easily for over two hours over a healthy meal. There was lots to catch up on. We were home by 10 pm which was very nice! :))
