The calm bit

Day off.

Got the canoe out and had a solo paddle. Planned to go to the soar but it was a bit floody and it's very windy so too exposed.

Ashby canal was much calmer but some sections were hard work into a head wind.

My j stroke was a bit rusty so first section involved a bit of tacking until I got it dialled back in.

Lovely run back with a tailwind and this section was extra sheltered and very serene.
