Life is not simple

Today has been a mixture of emotions?
We attended a funeral on zoom for a much loved member of the family. He was the second husband of our sister-in-law (complicated, I know) They were very close and we had spent so many happy times together. Participating in a zoom funeral was not without its moments. Many of the attendees had never used Zoom before and didn't realise they had to turn their microphone off. The service had constant interruptions with people's private conversations being relayed to the whole congregation!

Feeling as though we needed to get out. we took the dogs for a walk when it ended. We started chatting to a man we were on a nodding relationship with. I had always thought of him as a bit grumpy, so was devastated when he told us that his wife had committed suicide 3 months before, because she had become so anxious about Covid.

So many lessons here, about not making quick judgements about people and, of course, enjoying every minute of every day.
The little nuthatch did, though, end the day on a more positive note.
