Oval

I understand that Penicuik is a relative hotbed for cricket, and one of the town's Turf zones is PenicuikOval. The backdrop of the ground is good anytime, but looked great today with the tops of the hills dusted in last night's snow. As a boy I remember "snow stopped play" in a Derbyshire vs Lancashire match at Buxton, but maybe Penicuik's too close to the sea for it to happen here!

Otherwise, my trip to Edinburgh was relatively brief - just four hours installing software on a PC in my office, shopping and seeing Mum.
