Our annual roof check and gutter cleaning was the highlight of the day. The roofer hung precariously from a rope around his waist to ensure our gutters worked properly and there were no loose slates. Shortly after they finished a severe squall ripped through and proved that they had done their work extremely efficiently.
I began the day meeting neighbours to take part in a local leaflet distribution. We all complied with the new lockdown regulations that began today.

Still very difficult to make any firm plans to see our children and grandchildren this summer.
