Stormy Weather

We put on full waterproofs for our walk this morning.  When we set out it had just finished tipping down, but the sun came out and we enjoyed a dry, if very windy walk.  As we were returning home, we discussed the fact that had we not worn waterproofs we could have guaranteed getting soaked in rain.  

With less than half a mile to go, and a lovely sunny sky I bet Cathy that we would after all get home in the dry (this had seemed quite unlikely when we set out).  But just as we got home and before we could get back inside the rain came again and I lost my bet.

But we were very pleased that we didn't go out this afternoon as there have been several very heavy bursts of hail - as you can see.
