Visiting Roald Amundsen`s home

Had a walk and a drive along the Oslo fjord. Visited the home of the explorer Roald Amundsen. Known for being the first to reach the South Pole December 1911, five weeks ahead of Robert F. Scott. Today his house is a museum. Open in the summer months only. Have never been there then. Just seen it from the outside. It is kept as it was when Roald Amundsen left it in 1928 to go north to search for the Italian aeronautical engineer and Arctic explorer Umberto Nobile, who was missing with his crew onboard his airship "Italy" in the ice north.of Svalbard. No signs after Roald Amudsen in a French Latham plane after he flew from Tromsø in 1928 to search for him. Umberto Nobile was found alive on the ice. He died 50 years later, in Rome 1978.
