Danger
Tess pointing out the dangers whilst... erm... disobeying the "Keep off the sanddunes, Keep off the Rocks" sign...
Awful quality, sun in my eyes, couldn't see what I was doing, jolly much zoomed, couldn't be bothered to take my camera, iPhone shot. Hey ho.
Had a pleasant day today which consisted of breakfast at the garden centre, a new watering can and some seeds (not for breakfast, mind you). Then a supposedly quick scoot up to Sainsbury's to get lunch stuff and some cheap trainers for Tess. (Probably made by someone who wasn't paid enough and using less than ethical materials or conditions. Guilt in bucket loads here). Ended up taking blooming ages and having to buy boys' trainers and boys' socks (some girls' stuff is simply sickly and foul!) and then made a (bad) decision to use the "quicker"-but-not-really, check-it-out-yourself option and ended up waiting ages and then getting please wait for a member of staff messages over and over and over again. Richard nearly exploded while I was trying to take it all in my stride and was having a bit of a laugh. I'm just enjoying a bit of normality (AKA not feeling crap) to be honest and didn't find it in the least bit stressful. Other people and things can be unreliable - it's me I have no patience with.
Somehow all 5 of us managed to sit at the kitchen table and have lunch together and then Joel went off cycling with a couple of friends while Richard, Tess and I took the dog for a walk.
Back home, Joel and his friends had had enough of cycling and had taken over the sitting room to watch Skyfall, so we hung out in the kitchen and made cinnamon biscuits and got Tess's stuff ready for the next 2 days. She's taking part in a couple of activity days with the school (hence the need for trainers). Then we planted some cress seeds and, after his friends had gone, Joel planted some chilli seeds. Blokes always seem to be interested in growing chillies.
Gemma hid in her room fighting with a dying laptop and being Gemma, and appeared for food at intervals.
