Famirlees

I've never seen a black Highland beast before, but this one with her scruffy little dun-coloured offspring caught my eye in Glen Massan this afternoon. Actually I'd been looking at the big black one for some time before I noticed her baby - they were both lying down at the time, and the wee one had blended perfectly with the hay they were lying on.

When we returned from further up the glen, the brown one on the right had been joined by her infant as well, but it's hidden behind the others. It was hard to get a photo - every one I took is blurred in some way, either by movement (theirs) or focus problems, perhaps brought on by the intervening wire fence.
