Birdie approved new toy..

It's been 26 years since I bought a laptop the way I wanted it. Most of the time it was a good deal, good enough or just needed something. At Christmas I was given funds to help pay for a decent laptop and it took me this long to figure out what I wanted. Very happy with it.

A good day of getting a few things done. One which was to finally get rid of the dresser set my mom had. She has started to update her bedroom and this one was over 40 years old. We tried to give it to the place my dad would have preferred but the want nearly new. The local charity shops didn't want it despite being functional. Paying someone to remove them cost to much. So today I got the chainsaw out, reduced it to pieces that would the fit in the Honda and took it to the dump.

I did my good deed for the day while there too.. A little old lady was trying to back up her Prius and asked me for help. She said "My husband used to come here and you know, women don't know how to back up".  I was grateful I was wearing my mask as I bit my tongue and said of course I would help her. tossed her stuff into the bin too. Not always easy being diplomatic but...

Watching the local baseball team on the television, doors open to the sunny fresh air and... A wonderful Saturday
