I'll have on of those

Being Good Friday, no pubs were open, most restaurants were closed, no alcohol could be bought.Cavistons was open, so it was possible to get the makings of a rather nice indoor picnic and enjoy that in the comfort of Carl's place with our own already-in wine.

We came across this rather nice motorcar on the way back with our laden bags. I doubt if the owner would be as phased by Cavistons prices as less well-to-do folk like us were. The salads were nice, and the ham was really good, but what had sounded like a nice something-or-other crumble dessert was disappointingly dry.

After stuffing our faces we were at a bit of a loose end, and were quite pleased when we spotted a couple of the neighbours passing by. An enjoyable off-the-cuff party ensued, it was 10.00 pm by the time the others left to tend to a meal for themselves, and the day ended with a visit to Carl's Kino where Fargo was showing.
