Jelly Belly

Day 2 of the March inspiration challenge: I made this!: Are you a clever clog? Take a photo of something you made. It could be a mess, dinner, something crafty or anything that you made yourself.

Well, I can't say I made this wonderful artwork, but I did 'make' the photo!!

After reading about some new exhibits at the Reading (pronounced Red-ding) Public Museum we decided to take a ride over there to check them out.
We live about an hour away, so we packed up some lunch and headed on out.

One of the exhibits was a collection of old masterpieces done in a different medium ~ colourful Jelly Belly jelly beans. Each of the new "masterpieces" was created by California artist Kristen Cumings and are 4x6 feet. Each one was immediately recognizable ~ "American Gothic" by Grant Wood, "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer, "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Katsushika Hokusai, "Woman with a Mango, by Paul Gauguin, "Young Blonde Girl" by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci and this wartime graphic design "We Can Do It!" by J. Howard Miller.

The other exhibit was "Lego Castle Adventure." This exhibit was cute but a little bit disappointing. I thought there would be more to it than there was.
