The Picnic Train

A steam locomotive (5917), first and second class carriages, back running from Central station to Kiama return every Saturday and Sunday, after a pause of 12 months. It’s a scenic route and strangely tempting now that life seems to have reverted to earlier times.

One other person was on the platform at St Peters taking photos, but just by chance. He’d heard the train coming as he arrived.
