For Charley

Our friend Charley died after a battle with cancer - Friday evening. The prayer flags here are for Charley and dear Linda who has been his steadfast partner for some 40 years. We will be taking care of her, all of us rowing women friends. But he is a huge loss and inspiration - his positive energy and outward focus even after losing a leg and a lung were endless.

Then saw La Boheme this afternoon, my first time, and the end in that too - wow - today's photo just had to be this of prayer flags despite a long morning hike with lots of other choices. Life - we photographers do not take it for granted ever - may we keep on recording our thoughts, passions, and visions of this fragile world we share.
