Vigil at home for Sarah Everard and
millions of women who have experienced male violence. Now in my late sixties, I go out less at night, and I have the privilege of a car, which is more secure. But if I’m walking home after dark I have my keys between my fingers, I’m alert, listening and looking about, and I cannot feel anything but fear til I get home. I’ve had over 5 decades of this. Enough. The government, the police, and the ‘justice’ system need to really listen to what women are saying.
The extra is of the light reflected outside.
