A walk on a wilder side
Terri and I went for a stroll on Braunton Burrows this morning in bright sunlight; it was bright enough to wear sunglasses! The wind blew but otherwise it was a great stroll and we saw a few birds, loads of dog walkers and some like us just out for the fresh air.
The Burrows are a sand dune system in private ownership - the largest dune system in England and often used in films and for training the military.
Saw my first ladybird today.
The North Devon UNESCO biosphere is a sand dune system which is home to a large number of rare plants and animals. Will try and visit monthly to see what is growing/blooming.
This afternoon it rained - so we chose the correct time to go!
