Sunday Breakfast
I am reduced to blipping an image of our breakfast this morning. On Sunday, however, breakfast is more special and today it was a favourite - large field mushrooms grilled, filled with a salsa and a poached egg on top. Sets us up for a longer walk, across the fields into the cold west wind with increasingly frequent and heavy showers. Fortunately we were home before they became more frequent and heavy.
I have also planted more seeds - peas, courgette, aubergine, cucumber and another variety of tomato. The tomatoes planted previously have germinated but the chillis and sweet peppers have not emerged as yet, nor have the broad beans.
Our friend, who was going to help me construct the new greenhouse is in hospital with Covid. He is improving and hopefully will be home by the end of next week, but worrying times. His wife also has it but not so severely. They have been very careful and don't know where they have caught it. Rotten luck since their vaccine appointment was for last Tuesday.
Take care everyone.
