‘Dit On’

A ‘Dit’ in Jackspeak or Naval slanguage is a story, normally a ‘tall’ one, recounted with enthusiasm and no little embellishment.
Friday is ‘Dit On’ day, over the last year I have settled into a kind of routine for the day. Shower, cooked breakfast, down town for cakes and/or any shopping required before heading off to my friends.
Depending upon the weather I either sit on a chair on the pavement and my friends in their garden or at opposite ends of the garage.
The saying; “it’s good to talk” never rang more true, quite often they might be the only people outside immediate family I get to sit and talk to.
Will we keep it up post lockdown/self isolating, I’m sure we will.

Today’s Blip Foto, one of the many streams feeding into Argal Reservoir, still quite a flow, unsurprising given the amount of rain recently.
