I inherit my love of growing vegetables from my Mum, although it took 35 years before the horticulture gene kicked in!  I never fail to think of her when I am at the allotment, so for a locked down Mother's Day when a visit wasn't possible, a plot photo seems an appropriate tribute. 

This cavolo nero has finished so I've removed the protective netting previously propped up on the canes and bottles, ready to clear and mulch the bed which I plan to use for outdoor tomatoes later in the year.
