Exploring

This baby sea lion was found somewhere in or near Magdalena Bay, in Baja California Sur where I am studying abroad. Someone brought her to my school, the School for Field Studies Center for Coastal Studies, where she found her way onto the Center Director's front porch. We've been taking care of her and trying to figure out what to do with her, but her future is uncertain: if we release her back into the wild, she may not survive, but there are very few other options for her here. For now, she's living in an enclosure built for sea turtles and seems alert and healthy, curious about the large group of humans that always seems to be surrounding her.
