Thame
I blipped a similar view of St Mary the Virgin in Thame last May when the trees were fully in leaf. I was pleased to see that the weeping willow is beginning to show its lovely yellowy-green colour, but sorry to see that the clock has stopped working. The church is closed of course, but I hope to show you the wonderful 15th and 16th century interior one day. I was searching for the two benchmarks on buttresses that are marked on the map, but couldn't find either. The church is built of a soft yellow sandstone that is crumbling away and I guess the benchmarks have already crumbled.
