Flowering currant

Lockdown 3.0 Day #70

Much better weather this morning but the wind was still quite strong and cold, even though we chose not to walk down by the river Mersey (which is always windy).

We did our normal lockdown loop which is around 3-4 miles depending on which paths we choose. The birds were all too distant today for any decent shots, although we did see and hear our first skylark of the year, and see Rooks, Stock Doves and Linnets for the first time this year bringing our total to 72.

The plants are beginning to spring into life and these flowering currants are way ahead of ours in the garden, even if they are not fully open yet.

Now I need to go and prick out some more seedlings that are over growing their little tray and make some more space in the greenhouse. It is filling up nicely.
