Bitter sweet day

Tier 5 - Day 70

10 weeks of Lockdown! 

This morning I attended my aunt's funeral. Well I say attended, but due to the Covid restrictions on numbers, I had to stand outside with my cousin. As we left, a big lorry turned up in the car park and out came two beautiful horses and a glass hearse/carriage. The drivers proceeded to dress the horses in their livery/tack and 'varnish' their hooves in readiness for a later funeral. 
The sweet part of the day was the afternoon and my first visit of the year to see my mum in her Care Home. Despite the PPE, including gloves, it was lovely to hold her hand and sit so much closer to her.
