Tappie Tower
I’d a walk this morning with the Chief and Brodie in Kirkhill Forest on the northwest side of Aberdeen. It was pleasantly quiet and quite sunny and warmish despite a brisk wind. We walked up to the Tappie Tower - a granite tower that gives good views of the North Sea and Bennachie. It was built by the Victorian philanthropist Sir William Henderson to commemorate a visit to Aberdeen in 1848 by Queen Victoria.
