Diary of an Edinburgher

Spring!

Robert’s walkies day dawned sunny and, well - WARM(ish)! In fact, we spent much of the morning sitting out in the sun. JR did a wee bit of weeding after her Gym Bunnies session.

It was SO nice to be able to sit outside again (15.6°!), as Hazel popped in on her way to her run (round Arthur’s Seat 10.4km). Then Robert came back and stayed to have a cuppa, and who should come by but wee Maggie and her mum and dad. Maggie always makes such a fuss, and hangs on to your leg. This time, she kept trying to bounce up, but not quite high enough for me to catch. I had a cat once, Mctavish, who could jump right up into my arms. Until he got too old, and then he just clawed up my clothing to get there.

The sun was out in the back garden in the afternoon. I went to check the grass - not quite ready for a trim yet. Archie posed nicely with our wee daffodils narcissi. I used portrait mode, but I really wanted the flowers to be out of focus more.

JR got all dressed up (ie out of her gym gear) and popped off to the supermarket. I decided to attend to a job I’ve been putting off for ages - re-arranging my TV package and adding a couple of SIM cards. Well, that took ALL AFTERNOON. I was passed to various different people, in different departments eg ‘adding channels’ and ‘removing channels’ require different people. To complain about buffering was another person, then mobile phones are a different dept. I had to keep giving all my details each time. Also, some of them were very hard to understand, but I think an engineer is being sent to check the router. And I think the new SIM cards are arriving tomorrow.

Our First Minister has just announced that hairdressers will open on April 5th. I’m not bothered about them, but BodyStreet is not classed as a gym, but is aligned with hairdressers, so I’ll need to get psyched up for that torture session again...
