Today, having had two consecutive days off running I headed out I just decided to see how far I fancied running. I ended up doing 13.1 miles but it was a lovely run.
Tuesday is my day off and I had to take the pup to the vets for his six-month booster vaccinations. They also gave him a bit of a health check and he’s doing really well.
I did some writing and had a video call with a new friend who I have met through my meditation classes. She has been practising meditation for many years following a Buddhist tradition and we discussed some of the teachings we were given on the last session. We have really connected well, having similar interests and having similar personalities. It was really lovely.
During our call we discussed work and hobbies and I mentioned that whilst I don’t mind my job it is very stressful. If I could do something I loved full time, like writing, then perhaps life would feel more balanced. I explained the difficulties with this and in particular getting published and she suggested writing a blog. I have often pondered this but I’ve struggled to decide what to write about. I have lots of interests . I had a go at writing a mindfulness blog a while ago but wonder if I could be more general. I love to write, to cook. I love music and of course meditation and Buddhism. I’m going to think about this a little more and put some thought into it. Maybe there will be people that would like to read what I have to say and perhaps this would help me become a published author. Publishers always look out for writers blogs.
This afternoon I went out for a walk because the sun was shining and it was beautiful and I took this photo for my blip.
This evening will be a quiet evening. I heard from my daughters gymnastics coach that the training will resume on the 12th of April and she will be back to doing 15 hours a week. After months of no running around it seems like it’s all going to start pretty suddenly. With my sons swimming schedule commencing as well I think I need to make the most of these quiet evenings whilst we have them.
