The Sun

This is the start of the solar system pathway that runs 6.4 miles from York to Riccall along the old East Coast main-line railway. Along the route there are scale models of the planets, the correct distance (proportionally) from the Sun and from each other. The scale of the model is 575,872,239 to 1. Great for kids!
