The Bird Is The Word
Thank you so much for all the love and support for me and M. We’re both very touched and you’re all very lovely!
The two of us had a great day out today, exploring Port Sunlight River Park https://thelandtrust.org.uk/space/port-sunlight-river-park/ which has been open for 7 years, just across from Port Sunlight village www.portsunlightvillage.com/about-port-sunlight/ without me ever having been aware of it, until M notified me of its existence!
It afforded some different views from those that I'm used to, across the river to Liverpool and along towards Ellesmere Port, but today’s Blip is an unusual one for me, as I haven’t experimented much with wildlife photography over the years. I know very little about ornithology and I’m not even 100% sure what this bird is, but I think it’s a kestrel. Please correct me if I’m wrong!
I was captivated by the way that it hovered overhead for so long (on a VERY blustery day), intent on its prey, and seemingly unperturbed by the windy conditions.
Today’s tune is ‘Descent of Their Last End’ by Kestrels - straight outta Halifax, Nova Scotia
