Blue lights...

When I left work this afternoon there were two ambulances outside the station and three more went flying by with lights and sirens blazing. I hope there safe and happy outcomes to whatever the emergency or emergencies were.

I seem to recall in the distant past that this tunnel under the railway at Raynes Park used to be open to vehicle traffic which now seems insane given how narrow it is. The area round the station has long since been pedestrianised and in the process, for some reason, it was apparently decided that strips and spots of blue light on the floor would somehow make the tunnel look better. I have to say on balance this hasn't made a huge difference, perhaps cleaning the brickwork would have been a better idea!
