Tree!
Today it is my grandson’s 17th birthday - that makes me feel old! His dad is of Irish descent, and was quite put out that my daughter went into labour on 16 March and didn’t hang on untiI St Patrick’s Day! I had sent for some cards and luckily they arrived this morning. So after Zooming with the Bus Pass Walkers and then with the community choir I set off to walk up to the next village to give him his cards. I called at the Post Office to buy a first class stamp for another birthday card and saw 2 people from church on the way so stopped for a quick chat. As I left the PO I saw friends A & K as they returned from a walk, so we chatted as we walked down the road. I then carried on to Wilsden. It was very warm walking up the hill, and lovely to see the sunshine. I had hoped to take a photo of Gladys the GSD today, but she was in playful mood and wouldn’t stay still long enough! Grandson F had just finished his lessons for the day having had to stay at home after a class member had tested positive for Covid. F’s tests have come back negative. He is very frustrated having just returned to school last week. He wanted money for his birthday as he has driving lessons lined up for as soon as instructors can start working again. We had a chat and then I walked back down the village. I like this tree in my main image, but I should have taken the photo on the way up as there was a glorious blue sky behind it at that point! Extra of same tree as the sun broke through, plus the daffodils which have bloomed around the trees in my village - plenty more to come too. Finally watched the film “Edie” last night, and it was lovely to see the glorious Scottish scenery which I haven’t seen for many years now!
