...of crocus sprouts. I think, anyway; they look like tulips to me, but I'm fairly certain I planted crocus bulbs in this pot. 

The highlight of today was an hourlong visit with a friend in Germany - the dad in the family I was an aupair for thirty years ago. It's been two years now since his wife Birgit died and I'd sent a message saying I was thinking of them. The boys are now well into their thirties. D. did very well saying hello in German. For me an hour conversation was strenuous but good practice.

No snow but a chilly gray day!
