The winners

I’ve been talking about the boat races for a number of days, so seemed the right thing to do to blip the celebrations.  Whoop whoop.....we won the seventh race today and in doing so have retained the cup that we won four years ago in Bermuda.
These are terrible photos off the TV (and purposely left curtains and TV screen) but tells the exciting story.  Normally here we have the 6 o’clock news which goes for an hour.....tonight, it’s like the rest of the world doesn’t exist as the coverage followed the race, them coming back into port, the crowds, the lifting of the cup and lots of drinking from said cup. Celebrations will go well into the night, the crowds will party on as well. St Paddy’s Day as well. 
In extra was the photo I intended to blip today, but because of the excitement it has been relegated. It was my entry for WideWednesday, but I won't tag it.
