Looking south in the MacKenzie

Did a road trip around the lakes looking for primarily early autumn photos, however I think I'm a couple of weeks early, there are some changing color but most of the trees were still very much dark green. The day was lovely and warm, the roads reasonably peaceful, mainly kiwi travellers in campervans, many that I encountered had come from the North Island. I stopped for lunch at the Wrinkly Ram in Omarama, then drove quietly up toward Lake Tekapo and then turned for home in Timaru, the weather turned from warm 21c and sunny to overcast and cool 14c, had me thinking of turning around and staying where the sun was shining. Working the images over and this is one of them.
