Whelks

This is the egg case of a whelk. As it's still a bit yellow, there are probably baby whelks still inside (so long as they haven't been eaten by their siblings as they are cannibalistic).

Gorgeous day here today, albeit a little on the cold side still. Disgusting how much rubbish gets thrown up on to this beach though.
