Purple iris

This iris opened up yesterday in the rain so I went out with today to get some quick photos in the rain.  My friend Renee gave me a bag of mixed bulbs from her flower bed last year and I never thought they would bloom this year.  I have never had an iris bloom in my yard before...mostly I get green leaves.  Hoping some of the other bulbs will come up too!   

Rain again today and tomorrow we are supposed to get a big storm with possible tornados. We will see what happens as Mother Nature does her own thing all the time!
