I wish I had a river

Only trip outdoors today was to the recycling bins and round the block - of course I checked out the Water (how could I not?) and it was looking unusually lovely - no detritus, not even any bird life. To misquote Joni Mitchell: 'I wish I had  a river I could sail away on'.

Main excitement at home was receipt of the fortnightly veg box - big bag of spinach included, first time I've seen that. But the carrots and parsnips are seriously backing up, I find - much thumbing through recipe books ensued.

Outing to the Botanics planned tomorrow, woo-hoo!
