Underneath the road tunnel

Went for an urban walk with friend H yesterday morning following a meagre stream. At one stage we went through a tunnel under a major road, l was taken by the reflections of the writing on the wall and of the struts of the top of the tunnel.

No idea what the writing says - seems to be just one word l asked the resident Russian speaker but he didn't think it was Russian, said there were no vowels.
