This week ....
Vaccinations ..... yipeee. We have the AZ version and so far so good ....
First time in school for more than a year. I visited a school in Newcastle to tell stories and answer a whole load of questions about Easter. The marvels of technology! Who thought you could be with a whole load of children, on a screen, and interact. Great fun and a whole load of questions that couldn’t be answered, just wondered about.
And today is my 2,500th blip. I’ve been keeping a daily record for 2500 days, or thereabouts, recording the events of the day, the wonderful people met along the way & the places visited. Today we wandered up to the Thursday market. There’s been a market here for more than 1000 years. Apparently, it’s only a shadow of it’s former self but there is great hope that it will return to the hustle and bustle of pre-lockdown days. We met one of the three bakers there today, a lively gentleman with many-a-story. He was on telly recently, his son is on telly tonight and he had a lot to say about now-famous chefs & celebrities he worked alongside before they hit the big time. The market opens early, but is officially opened at 11am with the Wakeman ringing the market bell. I only just caught sight of him as he was going back into the town hall (see extra).
