Willow Tits

This morning I taught my gentle inclusive yoga class then did some gardening in the raised bed.

Yesterday we watched an informative Zoom event ‘Wet Woodlands and Willow Tits’ by The Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership. We learnt that the willow tit is one of Britain’s fastest declining bird species.
Thankfully Dumfries and Galloway still has pockets of wet woodlands where willow tits thrive.
We went to Castle Loch Nature reserve this afternoon to try and spot these beautiful wee birds.
We were blessed with seeing a red squirrel, nuthatch, tree creeper, willow tits, long-tailed tits, coal tits, great tits & blue tits and hearing the sound of a wood-pecker. A great walk in nature.
The main blip is a willow tit and the extra is a long-tailed tit.
